Version 1.16 introduces enhanced security measures, improved performance through streamlined packages, and two powerful new features for Professional and Enterprise users: Visitor Authentication and Group Transfer.
New: Visitor Authentication
Security is paramount when handling sensitive customer information. With version 1.16, agents can initiate verification by typing /authenticate during active chats. The system sends a secure 4-digit code via email or SMS, which visitors enter to confirm their identity before the conversation continues with sensitive information.
This feature ensures enhanced security for sensitive conversations through a user-friendly guided verification flow with flexible delivery methods.
How Authentication Works
When an agent needs to verify a visitor's identity, they simply type /authenticate in the chat. The visitor then chooses their preferred verification method—email or SMS—and receives a secure 4-digit code. Once entered correctly, the agent can confidently continue the conversation knowing they're speaking with the verified individual.
New: Group Transfer Feature
During active chats, agents can now type /transfer and select from available groups to route conversations to the appropriate team. The system automatically routes conversations to the first available agent in the chosen group, streamlining team handoffs and improving customer service workflow.
