Media Sharing; A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

With the new media sharing feature, uWebChat users can now share images seamlessly within their conversations. Whether you want to share a photo, a screenshot, or any other image, this feature makes it easier than ever to communicate visually. This enhancement is designed to improve collaboration and make your chats more dynamic and engaging.

Media Sharing in uWebChat is available today for all Professional and Enterprise uWebChat customers.

Supported formats

uWebChat currently supports all common image formats like jpeg, jpg, png, gif, webp, tmp, tiff. File size is limited to 4MB.

Media Sharing also for WhatsApp integration

The new image support feature is also available for uWebChat’s WhatsApp integration, allowing users to share images seamlessly within their WhatsApp conversations. This enhancement ensures a consistent and engaging communication experience across all platforms.

Availability - automatically available for uWebChat Professional and Enterprise licenses

The new image support feature will be automatically available for uWebChat enterprise customers, ensuring they can benefit from enhanced visual communication. This update will be launched in the upcoming days so stay tuned.

Security & Privacy in Media Sharing: Azure AI Content Safety

At uWebChat, securing your data and protecting your privacy is our top priority. We don’t store your conversations; that’s managed by you in your company’s OneDrive. For Media Sharing, we apply the same security measures. Shared media is temporarily uploaded to a blob container only for the duration of the conversation and is permanently deleted once the conversation ends. Additionally, uWebChat uses Azure AI Content Safety to guard against unwanted images.

Speech-to-Text: The Comeback

We are excited to bring back the speech-to-text feature, which allows users to convert spoken words into text effortlessly. This functionality is perfect for those who prefer speaking over typing or need to multitask while chatting. The improved speech-to-text feature is more accurate and responsive, ensuring that your messages are transcribed quickly and correctly. Simply press the microphone in the chat window and start talking.

General Improvements for Leave a Message

uWebChat version 1.13 now allows visitors chatting with the virtual assistant, outside your service window, to leave a message for a live agent. This feature ensures that, when your service windows starts, the first available agent receives and displays the visitor’s message. The “Leave a Message” feature guarantees prompt follow-up by actively hunting the first available agent until the message is accepted. Team members are notified once the message is approved, preventing any double follow-up. And of course, during your service window visitors chatting with the virtual assistant can request to chat with a Live Agent.

General Improvements for Agent Hunting & Transfer Conversation

Visitors can now only start conversations once they are connected to a Live or Virtual Agent, ensuring that conversation details are not lost. Additionally, we’ve enhanced the uWebChat Transfer feature: agents who transfer a conversation to another agent are no longer part of that conversation.
