uWebChat 1.19 unlocks Smarter Agent Routing and Presence Control

Smarter agent routing and presence control

uWebChat has officially launched version 1.19, introducing key enhancements that improve agent availability and pave the way for more intelligent presence-based routing.

New: Hunting on Away Status enablement

Agents can now be hunted even when their status is set to Away. This is especially useful for departments or teams that aren’t constantly at their desks, ensuring no chat goes unanswered. This setting can be enabled on group level.

By enabling hunting even when agents are marked Away (if configured), teams that aren’t constantly at their desks—like field support or hybrid workers—can still be reached, minimizing missed opportunities.

Advanced Presence preparation

While not yet active, this release lays the groundwork for future Advanced Presence features. These will allow organizations to fine-tune hunting behavior—for example, enabling hunting during Busy in Call but disabling it during Busy in Meeting. Expect these options in an upcoming release.
